GRIJS is a study in what remains when certainty begins to fade. Layers of black, white, and silver-grey drift across the surface like static, creating a field of visual noise that feels both distant and intimate. The painting hovers between presence and absence, as if an image, a memory, or a feeling is struggling to emerge from beneath the interference. Rather than offering resolution, GRIJS embraces ambiguity, finding beauty in the tension between clarity and obscurity, signal and silence, what is known and what remains just beyond reach.
Acrylic paint on framed gallery box canvas. 20”x16”x1.5”. Edition 1 of 1.
