Acrylic paint on gallery box canvas. 12”x12”x1.5”. Edition 1 of 1.
GORDIJN (Curtain in Dutch) feels like a threshold between exposure and concealment, where something private is being held just out of reach. The deep burgundy carries a sense of heat and memory, while the black and white areas feel colder, quieter, almost erased. Thin traces of color flicker through the darker passages like fragments of something trying to surface. There is tension in the division, but also restraint, as though the painting is guarding what it contains rather than revealing it all at once.
All paintings are signed on reverse. All paintings include certification of authenticity.
